    Reiki Healing

 

What is Reiki?

 

Reiki (Ray-Kee) is an ancient Japanese method of energy healing that helps the body to align and heal itself by balancing energy centers (chakras).  Dr. Mikao Usui discovered Reiki during his quest to learn healing techniques taught by Buddha.  

The word 'Reiki' is actually comprised of two Japanese words, Rei and Ki.  Rei means 'Universal Energy' and Ki means 'Life-force'.  The Life-force is known as 'Chi' in China or 'Prana' in East Indian cultures.   

 

Life force energy is channeled through the hands of the Reiki practitioner into the subject's seven chakras which are located in the trunk of the body, rising up into the head to the crown.  

 

But, while the practitioner does channel the energy, the practitioner does not perform the actual healing process.  The healing is accomplished by the person who receives the treatment.    The extent of the healing that can occur depends on the willingness of the person to be open to the energy and to releasing the blockages that exist in the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical body. 

 

Reiki is a very safe and grounding energy.  It has an innate intelligence in that it knows exactly where to go and the energy will only be focused on an area of the body for as long as there is an imbalance in a particular chakra. The practitioner will intuitively sense when the chakra is balanced and will move on to a different area of the body.

 

Reiki works on body, mind and spirit.  It aids with overall relaxation and can help a willing participant get through physiological and physical issues.  Reiki works on people and animals alike.

 

 

      Meet the Practitioner

 

Bobbi Pollack has been a Reiki Master since 1997.    She is a registered member and   Registration Chair for the Westchester Holistic Practitioners Network.  Bobbi teaches Reiki at the Circle of Tranquility Healing Center in Hawthorne, NY.  

 

She has performed Reiki Healing Circles at Rockland Link in Rockland County, NY, and the White Plains Loft in White Plains, NY as well as at StoneWater Sanctuary in Croton-on-Hudson, NY, and the Circle of Tranquility in Hawthorne, NY. 

 

Ms. Pollack is a fully insured practitioner.  

 

Appointments and Information

 

Ms. Pollack offers individual Reiki healing sessions, Reiki Healing Circles and training classes.   

 

Workshops and healing sessions can be tailored to your needs.  We can also accommodate small group sessions.
